• RootsWeb Genealogical Data Cooperative calls him Nicholas Heale. Hale, Haile, Heale Genealogy calls him Nicholas Hale. Hale, Haile, Heale Genealogy says he was born 1628-1630 in the Tidewater area of Virginia. Hale, Haile, Heale Genealogy says he died between 15 Feb 1668-8 Nov 1671.

• Woodlief's Index says George was born 28 Aug 1728. Terry Michael Bradley's Family History says he may have married Sarah in 1747. Woodlief's Index and Terry Michael Bradley's Family History say he died 1806. Mike Murphy says he died 28 Jul 1806.
• Mike Murphy also calls Sarah Susan. Terry Michael Bradley's Family History says she was born Fleets Bay, North Cumberland Co.
• Some of the children of George and Sarah alternatively spell their surnames Hale (William, Philip Smith, Priscilla, Smith).
• Mike Murphy says William and Susannah Payne married 21 Jun 1769.
• Terry Michael Bradley's Family History calls daughter-in-law Catherine Catherine Douglass. She may also have been called Kitty. Findagrave.com says she died 17 Oct 1749.
• Our Research says Smith may also have died 1813.
• Terry Michael Bradley's Family History says daughter Elizabeth was born 1757.
• Terry Michael Bradley's Family History calls son-in-law Solomon Ewell Smith Ewel. Our Research says he was born abt 1738
• Terry Michael Bradley's Family History says son Joseph's wife's name was Elizabeth Bronough.
• Terry Michael Bradley's Family History calls daughter Jane's husband William Bronough.
