Notes:
• Because William does not appear in the 1850 census with his children and wife, it is believed he died before then.

• Because Elizabeth does not appear in the 1860 census with her children, it is believed she died before then.
• John only appears in the 1850 census. It is believed he is Blake's older brother and that he doesn't appear in later Tippah Co. censuses because he probably had his own household somewhere else.
• Findagrave.com's entry for Joel Anderson Hearne calls his wife Josephine Fleming. Tippah County Marriages and Mississippi Marriages, 1776-1935 call her Josephine R. Fleming. The 1860 census calls her Joephine. The 1870 census calls her F R Fleming. The 1900 census calls her Josafene. The 1900 census says she married Joel in 1858; however, Joel married his previous wife Ellen C. Allman in Pontotoc Co. that year. Joel and Ellen appear in the 1860 census for Pontotoc Co. Mike Murphy says she is buried at New Bethel AME Church Cemetery, Putnam, Georgia, but I believe this is a different Josephine Hearn (with dates abt 1830 VA-26 May 1928 Putnam, GA).
• The 1850 census for Tippah Co. calls daughter Nannie Nancy. The 1870 census for Prentiss calls her Nancy T [Huncy T]. The 1850 census says she was born in Tennessee.
• Findagrave.com and her tombstone call daugther Catherine Kittie. Mississippi Marriages, 1776-1935 calls her Kate E. The 1850 census for Tippah Co. calls her Catharina. The 1850 census for Tippah Co. says she was born in Tennessee.

Notes:
• The 1850 census for Tippah Co. calls Robert senior Blake. His birth year has been estimated as abt 1836 or 1838 in census documents. Malone Mountain is in Benton Co. today. The 1850 census says he was born in Tennessee. Findagrave.com says he died 8 Jan 1912. I am looking for a copy of the following source in which Robert is mentioned: "Brief statement regarding Mrs. Nancy McCain, widow of a Revolutionary soldier ; John Riley, veteran of the Revolution ; Capt. A. M. Jackson, Captain in the Mexican War and Secretary of the Territory of New Mexico; Judge Orlando Davis, Hon. John W. Thompson, Hon. Thomas Jefferson Word, Gen. M. P. Lowrey, Gen. T. C. Hindman, Gen. Samuel Benton, Col. W. C. Falkner, R. Blake Henderson, Mike Reed, and the outlaws. Big Harp and Little Harp. This manuscript is in the Archives of the Mississippi Historical Society."
• Mike Murphy also calls first wife Sarah Sallie. The 1870 census calls her Ange. Her son Robert's Ripley Cemetery listing at Findagrave.com calls her Sara. Mike Murphy, the 1870 census, and the 1900 census listing her son's household say she was born in Tennessee. The Thompson Family Genealogy and Robert Hill Family Bible say she died 23 Nov 1892.
• Our Tree, Our Branches calls daughter Katherine Katie Ellis. Ruth Blackwell Day Henderson calls her Aunt Kitty. Tippah County Marriages, Findagrave.com and her tombstone call her Kittie. Mike Murphy spells her daughter's name Sarah.
• Daughter Josephine R. is called Joe in the 1900 census, in which her birth date is listed as Feb 1884.
• Ruth Blackwell Day Henderson calls daughter Nancy Aunt Nan. Findagrave.com and Tippah County Marriages call her Nannie E. The Murphy family says she was born aft 1880. T.F. Henderson's obituary says she died bef 1959. Findagrave.com also gives her husband's middle name as Kendred and Kindred.
• Findagrave.com calls second wife Sarah Fannie Johnson and Fannie Johnston. The New Hope Cemetery listing calls her Fannie Johnston.
