• There is confusion between him and his son George as to which served in the Revolutionary War as Lieutenant, and if, in fact, either of them did.
• DAR Genealogical Research Databases says son Thomas was the son of George Suggs and Mary Saunders. DAR Genealogical Research Databases says he born 1761-1763.

• DAR Genealogical Research Databases says George was born 1748. Hattie K. Henderson's DAR application says he was born bef 1740 in Virginia. The Murphy Family, Theresa (Mcghee) Burk Hazlerig Genealogy and Janet Ariciu list Nancy Horsley as his first wife. The second source provides a date, bef 1823. This marriage has not been proven. The Family Record book of Mary Harriet Henderson and Hattie K. Henderson's DAR application list the following children with Mary Saunders: George, Laban, Thomas, Isaac, John, Harbard (called Jack), and Lavinia. There is confusion between him and his father as to which served in the Revolutionary War as Lieutenant, and if, in fact, either of them did. Hattie K. Henderson's DAR application says he was buried at Old Bethel Church aft 1792.
• Mary Harriet Henderson's family book and DAR Genealogical Research Databases calls her Mary Saunders. DAR Genealogical Research Databases also calls her Mary Sounders. Paul L. Hisaw also says she was born 1764.
• Daughter Martha is also called Patsey.
• The Murphy Family and DAR Genealogical Research Databases also call him Labon. DAR Genealogical Research Databases says he was born 1768 or 1787.
• DAR Genealogical Research Databases also calls daughter-in-law Margaret Margaret McLe-Chittam.
• DAR Genealogical Research Databases calls grandson Laban Bruce Graham Bruce.
• Paul L. Hisaw calls son John Herberd.
